Grateful Heart and Attitude:
Someone whose emails I enjoy the most among my international correspondents “Still” wished me a happy day.Was I an American, I think it would have gone like “I wish you a happy thanksgiving” That was nearly as touching as the mansion that she already knows I have a grateful heart and attitude.
A grateful heart and Attitude is indeed a description of my last night feelings! As I walked along with a woman I love from a mini bus taxi, she pulled me back to her side thinking that I was not careful enough to avoid falling into the ditch. The ditch … The ditch that the Lord has pulled me from, is of course beyond human dimensions. The ditch of not knowing him is the most dangerous one for a human life.
Then, I also remembered by which I walked since childhood. As I pondered on countless souls that never got a chance to go school, and wondered what was so special with me that with all the hardship that the 3rd world entitles to the children, I could still write this blog of mine. A life style that is not found among 99% of Rwandan Youth.
There is plenty to thank God for, therefore I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.
Psalm 7:17

That is a beautiful post, Ben. If only America could have an 'attitude of gratitude'....unfortunatly, Thanksgiving (to many) has become the transitional holiday into the Christmas season and many have skipped right over it. We even have a day after Thanksgiving called Black Friday where shoppers get up in the middle of the night to be at the stores very early and get discounted prices on items for Christmas. The name, Black Friday, is a saying that in the business world means....'in the black' or making a profit. If a company is 'in the red', it means they have lost money. So, businesses hope to be 'in the black' after all the shoppers are finished getting Christmas gifts. Anyway....your post truly has the essence of gratitude....
